Reena Katz, has touched many people and groups. Her commitment, sage guidance and capable talents have helped move us along.
Reena is a founding member of Zatoun’s board of directors. We could always rely on Reena for the right word or suggestion to move us from a stumble or beyond a block. She was at various times a member Pomegranate, Women in Solidarity with Palestine, CAIA and the recent Dykes and Trans People for Palestine.
We all will miss Reena’s presence among us in activist Toronto but we also wish her well in the next phase of her artistic life and activist pursuits. She will be attending 2-year graduate program at Parsons New School for Design in NYC, pursuing a Masters of Fine Art.
We come together to celebrate Reena’s friendship and we also acknowledge the relationships and that bind us to each other and to our many causes.
Thank you Reena for your energy and love. Thank you for giving us a reason to be together to celebrate with words, music, performance, memories, food and laughter.
